In preparation for the 3rd Quarter and 2nd Half of 2010…

I’m spending part of Independence Day weekend going through old notebooks and gathering multiple notes I’ve made for article writing and blog posting in my area of expertise.  I’m ashamed to admit I have them all over the place, so now while relaxing I’m going through and getting them together! No point in reinventing the wheel! Besides…

Everything is Different, Even When It Is The Same

It’s interesting how every time we revisit a project or look at something again, we see it differently… As I read through my notes, more ideas come  through.

Have you ever noticed… How EVERY time we do things, even if they are the same things, they are different, BECAUSE… WE are different.  We are NEVER in the same place, whether in our personal or businesses lives.  Time moves on and so do we!

Isn’t life great!  EVERY second is a NEW beginning full of NEW opportunities to begin again!!!

No fluff here…  I’m just going to say how I feel ~honestly and from the heart!

I’m ashamed to admit that I took the life-long freedom and independence I enjoy(ed) as a Native Born Citizen of the United States of America for granted ~UNTIL September 11, 2001.  Before that… It never occurred to me that life could be any different!  How wrong I was.  I still have problems talking about 911 without getting choked up!

THIS YEAR I will consider each Fireworks Display a salute to each and every one of those who fought to give me the gift of freedom and independence.   AND… to remember and salute those who are fighting for us as I type this.  AND, let us not forget those who paid the ultimate price and their families who are still paying!

Let me also take a moment to acknowledge our Uniformed Workers.  Living in NYC I salute New York’s Finest and Bravest!

God Bless Us All and God Bless America!

Earlier I saw a comment that people were not calling July 4th “Independence Day” enough. What do you think?

As a proud American… I DO know what the day stands for. I DO value my independence to be able to do what I want, when I want to, how I want ~ as long as it is legal and does not hurt anyone! I appreciate that more than you can imagine!

Recovering Perfectionism

I do care how I come across in a video ~and one should, however, when I’m creating a video and feel I’m getting too finicky, I can hear Perry’s voice whispering (well, maybe not whispering ;)  in my ear… “Roz just get’re done – shoot for 70% perfection!!! You’ll improve as you go!”

It’s OK “Not To Be” Perfect

2010 Is The Year of Imperfection ~ It’s interesting… since I started doing video, I listen VERY closely to people talking LIVE on TV, on the web, during webinars, teleseminars – on stage. Many of these people I respect and admire, but some I did know before – for this exercise it does not matter whether I know them personally or not! What I listen for are “stumbles, pregnant pauses, actually anything that shows imperfection!” WAIT… before you think I’m mean or nuts… these stumbles and imperfections “tell me” It’s OK to be JUST YOU… NOT Ms Perfection!  You see… We are ALL just people first! IF we were perfect we’d have nothing to strive for! ;)

HONESTY TIME ~ I did not always feel this way. It was a painful journey, and sometimes I slip, but my base is strong enough to pull myself back! I’d love to hear your thoughts?

A couple of months ago I was on a Camtasia Q & A teleseminar with Lon Naylor and Michele Schoen. These two are the top Camtasia teachers, but that is neither here nor there in this particular Blog post.

My point here is to share one of the recommendations I heard on that call. Since most of us use WordPress and ARE interested in Videos and Video Marketing and Video Tutorials this site came up in conversation. “… This guy ­ I did not even know his name at that point ­ sends out these great WordPress Video Tips of the Day!” We all perked up and actually went to sign up while we were still on the call! Now that’s what I call taking IMMEDIATE action!

What got us going was: WordPress; Tip of the Day Videos; Video Tutorials, etc. While we were interested in WordPress, we were also interested for other reasons! This is the WHOLE package!!!

I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but… I am here to tell you this is one of the BEST WordPress information/learning websites on the Internet.

It’s been a couple of months now and I’ve been receiving …
