Thursday’s Quote: Life Is a Miracle – Do NOT Throw With It, Rejoice In The Fact You Are Here For Yet Another Day!
Thursday’s Quote
I chose this quote because of my possible near death experience last evening. Perhaps I am taking this to the extreme, but things could have ended so differently! I’d like to think of it as a message from God to lighten up and find the blessings in life and not get so hung up on the wrongs other may have done to me! Who really cares… I’M STILL STANDING!

Today’s Quote ~ The Zen master Ling Chi said that the miracle is not to walk on burning charcoal or in the thin air or on the water; the miracle is just to walk on earth. You breathe in. You become aware of the fact that you are alive. You are still alive and you are walking on this beautiful planet… The greatest of all miracles is to be alive.~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Wednesday’s Quote and Inspiration ~ Enough is Enough
I’m traveling my own journey these days and it’s time to take stock and begin again. That’s why I chose this quote today. Won’t you come along for the ride!
Wednesday’s Quote
“The secret to life is to know when enough is enough.” ~Dr. Vincent Ryan
While every single moment is a “new beginning,” life is a one-way journey. One way in the fact, you cannot get the time back. This said… I believe it is a gift to know when enough is enough and when it is time to re-evaluate, make changes and begin again! It really would be a sin to trash the “gift of love and life God has entrusted to you!” Don’t ya think?
Perhaps it is because Rosh Hashanah — the Jewish New Year — begins in about six weeks, that I feel compelled to re-evaluate my life, repent and ask forgiveness for my misdeeds and start fresh. This exercise can be done by anyone, of any faith ~ after all, we all travel the same road of life – even though our destinations are different!
When we think of misdeeds and offenses we usually think of committing them against another, however… Last year, when re-evaluating I noticed that most of my misdeeds were committed against myself and I did this exercise in order to be able to “forgive myself!”

Friday’s Quote – Impressor or Impactor of Others, Which Are You?
I am sure you have heard the phrase: “People like to do business with those they know like and trust!” I like to add “respect” to that scenario!
The above is true, but how do people get to know, like and trust you? It is NOT necessarily because you are the success you are… OR IS IT?
Friday’s Quote
Want to impress others? Talk about your successes. Want to impact others? Talk about your failures! ~ John C. Maxwell
So true… No one cares about your successes as much as they do about your failures. And NO, it is NOT because they want to see you fail! I believe… IT IS because they can RELATE better to you, they feel closer to you as a person, because they know you’re like them. You’ve failed too! However, they ARE interested in how YOU OVERCAME your failures and disappointments and turned them into successes!
Hope For The Future
Your failures turned into successes give them hope, a hope and motivation to NOT GIVE UP because YOU DID NOT give up!

Thursday’s Quote – Silent Qratitude Isn’t Much Use to Anyone
I wanted to write something before shutting down for the night, but my tired mind is a complete blank. I decided to check the Internet for a Quote on Gratitude and found the following Quote that is “so to my very thinking!”
Thursday’s Quote:
“Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone.” ~G.B. Stern
I say this very often as I truly believe… “We DO NOT say Thank You enough!” Don’t ever fool yourself into thinking people know! It does make a difference to let people know when they’ve helped us, made our day, made us smile or when they are just a delight to have as a friend or acquaintance!
Think about it… It can be VERY lonely out there to feel like you DO NOT exist to others, WHEN… they may REALLY be grateful for you, but NEVER took a moment to let you know! It works both ways… WE need to take a moment to let others know how grateful we are to have them in our lives!

Wednesday’s Quote – Get’re Done, Shoot For 70 Percent Perfection
Today’s quote is VERY near and dear to my heart! You see. I AM “a recovering perfectionist!” Can you relate?
Wednesday’s Quote
“Get’er Done – Shoot for 70% Perfection!” ~ Perry Lawrence
Perry Lawrence aka @AskMrVideo on Twitter is one of my Video Mentors. He was the very first video mentor I had ~along with Carrie Wilkerson aka @barefoot_exec on Twitter. I took a class with both Perry and Carrie called Video Magnetism. That’s another blog post! ;)
Recovering Perfectionism
I do care how I come across in a video ~and one should, however, when I’m creating a video and feel I’m getting too finicky, I can hear Perry’s voice whispering (well, maybe not whispering ;) in my ear… “Roz just get’re done – shoot for 70% perfection!!! You’ll improve as you go!”
It’s OK “Not To Be” Perfect
2010 Is The Year of Imperfection ~ It’s interesting… since I started doing video, I listen VERY closely to people talking LIVE on TV, on the web, during webinars, teleseminars – on stage. Many of these people I respect and admire, but some I did know before – for this exercise it does not matter whether I know them personally or not! What I listen for are “stumbles, pregnant pauses, actually anything that shows imperfection!” WAIT… before you think I’m mean or nuts… these stumbles and imperfections “tell me” It’s OK to be JUST YOU… NOT Ms Perfection! You see… We are ALL just people first! IF we were perfect we’d have nothing to strive for! ;)
HONESTY TIME ~ I did not always feel this way. It was a painful journey, and sometimes I slip, but my base is strong enough to pull myself back! I’d love to hear your thoughts?

Monday’s Quote: Honor Your Teachers – Both Human and Otherwise
None of us got where we are by ourselves. Whether we were encouraged or discouraged ~ there are many someones to thank!
I came from a VERY negative and emotionally unsupportive upbringing. I would not even share all that was said to me, but emotionally unsupportive says it all ~for now!
About 10 years ago I began learning I was not unique and certainly not the only one who was brought up in a verbally abusive household.
However… it is that very emotionally unsupportive background that has molded me into the compassionate, caring, loving and supportive person I am today! It took me a lifetime to figure this out or more specifically after 911. You are welcome to read about that here. Looking back, that was only the beginning!
I would imagine if I took the time to think of all those things, people and incidents which influenced me since I came to the web almost 20 years ago I’d probably have a laundry list of names and events. This is why today’s quote intrigued me so much ~in fact I added a revised version of my own.
Monday’s Quote
“No matter what accomplishments you achieve, somebody helped you.” ~Althea Gibson
Roz’s Version:
“No matter what accomplishments you achieve, somebody or something helped you get there. Think back, take time to revisit and honor them all!” ~Roz Fruchtman
Enjoy your week!

Sunday’s Quote: When You Open Your Mind…
I had a very different quote planned for today, but I was inspired to write this one while listening to a teleseminar — at 5AM — with Pam Brossman @PamBrossman who specializes in “Helping You to Build Your Brand Using Video Marketing,” and Lethia Owens @LiveYourBrand a Personal Branding Strategist who teaches you how to Live Your Brand because YOU are your brand.
Both ladies were off the hook with their “workable” ideas and solutions. As each spoke I saw the possibilities and techniques in a very different way. It’s not easy to admit, but I’ve known this for a while… I already had the belief and the passion, but somehow I had lost my spirit. Without spirit your attitude may as well be dead ~ a bit blunt, but VERY VERY true nonetheless!
I am happy to announce that spirit was reborn again during these two calls. Thus today’s quote “further down the page!”
Look, I’m not one to tell you everything is great when I know full well many are still suffering ~ some more than others. But I AM here to encourage you NOT TO GIVE UP!!! Sometimes… “We need to be OUR OWN cheer leaders!” Trust me… I’m not just talking “at you” here, I am speaking “to myself” as well!” Sometimes we just have to FORCE ourselves to take action ~ especially when it become more painful not to!
Sunday’s Quote
“When you open your mind wide, the opportunities WILL NOT just walk in, they WILL FLY in!” ~Roz Fruchtman

Tuesday’s Quote – On YOU Appreciating You!
Lately my own quotes are inspired by my own life. If I tell you “I know how you feel,” this is one of those times when I can say “I’ve walked in your shoes!!!
Tuesday’s Quote
“When you’re feeling unappreciated, taken advantage of or like no one cares… STOP and do something nice FOR YOU! You’ll QUICKLY notice how the feeling changes as YOU begin to APPRECIATE YOU!” ~ Roz
It really doesn’t matter what you do, buy yourself a gift, cook a nice meal, go for a walk, enjoy the beauty nature, read a book, listen to music, watch a favorite TV show or movie, whatever! It’s YOUR life, so It’s YOUR choice! “All that matters is: IT WORKS!!!”
How do I know? This is one time I take my own advice. It’s too painful not to!
What do you think? What do you do to make yourself feel better in down times? I’m sure we’d all like to know as feeling down is “not” specific to any one person! Please respond in the comments box below.

Monday’s Quote – Life Equals God’s Best Plus Life’s Challenges
I don’t know about you, but it annoys me to no end when people tell you to “adjust your mindset” when things go wrong or you had a bad moment or a moment of doubt or regret. As far as I am concerned ”it’s called being human!” (A little compassion and understanding goes a long way every now and again!) Today’s quote was inspired by me having just one of those moments.
Monday’s Quote
“Life is made up of God’s Best and Life’s Challenges ~to deny either is not being 100% truthful and unrealistic! ~Roz Fruchtman
I rewrote the above quote a number of times and then let it sit and went to listen to Joel Osteen’s TV message for this week entitled how ”God Can Speak to Us Even in Our Doubts!” Can you believe it? It was spot on to what I was feeling!
I came back and reworded it to the above quote and posted it on my Facebook Page and elaborated more about it here. I’m feeling a lot of doubts right now and being real about it makes me feel better and less like a hypocrite ~ smiling and being positive all the time! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not wearing my heart on my sleeve, but I felt like sharing my thoughts with you as YOU may be feeling the same way about something in your life!
What do you think? I would SOOOOOOOO like to know. Please respond in the comments box below.

Saturday’s Quote – Protect Your Joy at ALL Costs
I believe we can all relate to today’s quote. I’m going to call this one a “Roz-ism” because it’s one I live moment to moment, day by day – because… “The Joy Thieves” are out there waiting to strike at any second! ;)
I met three of these “Joy Thieves” yesterday when I was attempting to straighten out some health insurance issues. Two hung up on me and the third was out and out uncaring and nasty — all because of a perscription supposedly not being covered by Medicare! [At one time I would have allowed this behavior to upset me and spoil my entire weekend, after a few moments I took a deep breath, thought of possible alternatives and moved on. This new behavior is HUGE for me - how about you?]
Saturday’s Quote
“Allowing ANYone to steal your JOY is giving them license to steal your LIFE! Time is the one gift that is irreplaceable!” ~Roz Fruchtman
