Roz Says – Sometimes We Need To Give Ourselves Permission to Relax

I don’t know about you, but I forget to take time off to relax or to reward myself for a job well done!  What’s worse yet, I forget that IF I work on the weekend; really get engrossed in what I am doing and stay glued to the computer for all hours… I’m entitled to take some “ME TIME” during the week.  In fact, I’m entitled to take ME TIME ~ANYtime I want!  But I don’t!

Where’s by Joyce Meyer book: “Eat The Cookie, Buy The Shoes?”

This is a book on Celebration, and Giving Yourself Permission to Lighten [In my own words I’d say: “It’s a book that gives YOU the keys to give yourself permission to be GOOD TO YOU!”  Watch for my review on this book.  I’ve been through it once on CD!  Below is the link, I’d recommend it to everyone ~FOR REAL!

Sometimes I feel like the Energizer Bunny, I just keep going and going and going until I conk out!  Thing is, with me… there is no replacement on burnout!!!

I’m feeling a little crazed today.  I had an early morning appointment with my Doctor for some blood work — Nothing serious, just my Annual Checkup. Some of the blood word required fasting for accuracy, so the appointment was set earlier than I would have liked!

When I returned home I was starving, but instead of preparing a balanced lunch I grabbed any old thing and wound up eating all afternoon.  All good stuff, but not balanced.  Now I’m feeling worn out — like I’d like to put my feet up and chill. I can, but it seems like I NEED TO give myself permission to do it!  Why do we do that to ourselves?

How about you?  Do you take ME TIME!  Do you give yourself permission to “just be you ~the person?” Do you reward yourself for a job well done, or “just because?” WE DESERVE IT, YOU KNOW! Why don’t we do it?

I’d love to hear your opinions on this subject.  I never consider myself unique and I know for sure, I am not alone in this!

Roz Says – I Am So Angry At Myself

Why am I angry?  Because I’ve taken this long to sit down, write and start sharing.  Who knows, I might have helped – I’m more comfortable with inspired or encouraged – you or someone else reading this blog.  If nothing else, none of us is alone in this world, especially with the Internet and Social Networking at our fingertips.

Self anger can be debilitating. Ask me how I know? ;)

On the other hand, self anger can be the most powerful and motivating force for lighting a fire beneath our little fannies — IF we know how to use it, and/or get it ignited.

I set this blog up sometime within the last 6 to 9 months to share, inspire, encourage, hopefully help and educate others — if for no other reason, to prove we  are NOT alone in our fears, anxieties and successes.

We all stumble along the way and get stuck — some just never share that side of themselves.  Thank God my getting stuck is not as often and does not last as long as it used to.  Why? Because I learned how to kick it to the curb and move on!

Finding what works for you is the key.  For me, it is to fill my soul and joy tank with spiritual juice!  It might be something else for you. Perhaps you like to throw your favorite CD in the CD Player and turn up the speakers and Rock On! Perhaps you like to take long walks or grab your camera and shoot some of nature’s beauty.

Actually I like all of the above, but the spiritual one has the greatest kick as it reminds me what my true passion is and that “I ‘CAN’ DO IT,” ~ perhaps with a bit more flexibility and persistence or a complete re-write!

The poor me attitude has been gone forever – since I developed an “attitude of gratitude” after taking a real good look at all the blessings I had and those available to me – just for the taking. After all:

“I am here, I am relatively healthy, I can still see (after multiple eye surgeries), I have a computer, I have Internet access, I have a good mind, I can type and I am writing this JUST FOR YOU!”  I’d say… That’s a good start!

As an aside:
Let me not forget to acknowledge those wonderful souls I’ve met online and bonded with along the way, without them… well I don’t want to think of what life would be like without them!

Stay tuned for more…

Roz Fruchtman Tongue Tied – People Would Pay to See This

I put this blog up months ago because I wanted to have a voice.  I have so much to share, but for the life of me, I don’t know where to begin.  Did that ever happen to you?

It’s kind of where my life is these days — One foot here, the other foot there and I just can’t get both feet planted firmly in one place!  That says a whole lot about me at this time in my life.

But you know…  I do not think I am alone and that is why I am sharing this.  IT IS OK to be at a turning point or at a point of breakthrough in your life. The idea is to take the time to enjoy the journey — after all, the journey is ours to enjoy!

When I first put the blog up, I was on a roll, but then my host’s server crashed and everything I had done here was lost. A lesson well learned, now I use the WordPress Backup Plugin to backup the blog a couple of times a day, whether I’ve worked on it or not! On the other hand, I temporary lost my voice!  Trust me, that won’t last long!

I invite you to comment in the COMMENTS area below.

Patrick Swayze: Saying Goodbye to a Legend

There are absolutely no words that can describe how my heart aches for Patrick Swayze and his family.  Patrick fought the good fight… but he suffered so.

It is times like this when we ask ourselves WHY?

But, this was a man who fought up until the end and I am sure — together with his wife — created many good lasting memories.

My heart goes out to his family, friends, loved ones, business associates and fans.  May their hearts heal quickly and ONLY the good memories live on.

Roz on Change: What’s All This About Changing Who I Am? Who You Are? Who We Are? I Like Me…

I just visited a blog and it bugged me with all this nonsense about CHANGING who you are.  I LIKE ME!  It took me a lifetime to get to know THE REAL ROZ!

Yes… I am always looking for ways to improve, which I look at as growth. Growth is good. Growth is fun and learning new things is fun and healthy, it keeps one young and in touch.

I was brought up by non-emotionally supportive parents.  I was never good enough.  I was never like their friend’s children, they never liked my friends, I embarrassed them (only in their heads), etc. etc. It was non-ending!

Finally in 2002 or 2003 when I did my first program with Tony Robbins ~ “Get The Edge,” I unloaded all that old junk (for lack of a more colorful word).  Tony’s simple statement “Your Past Is Not Your Future” freed me forever. Before that I used to say: “I am where I came from,” or “I am a product of my upbringing!”  RUBBISH!

I DO embrace where I came from because it gave me a glimpse into the lives of what others might be feeling.  When I say “I know how you feel,” I DO!

I hate it that people are using that old language to get you to coach with them or buy their products.  It’s lousy marketing and disgusting that people are praying on all those old or perhaps in today’s economy with all its challenges…  NEW beliefs, fears of hangups.

I can’t write what I would really like to say, but…
DON’T  BELIEVE  IT  FOR  A  MOMENT!

There is NOTHING wrong with you:

  • Make your decisions using YOUR “good common sense!”
  • NEVER make a decision on emotion. It will be the wrong decision most of the time if you do.

Please comment below and let me/us know how YOU feel about this.  We can grow together!
