Sunday Inspiraton ~ Always Look For The Joy and Light

DISCLAIMER: I’ve been pretty stressed this past week – through no fault of my own – but stressed none-the-less!  So my blog posts have been geared toward inspiration!

I always say:  “We are all people first!”  We need to deal with ourselves before we can give our best to anyone or anything else!

A  happy soul is a creative soul!  Well… maybe not be completely true. I’ve done some of my best creative designs in my darkest moments.  Maybe it’s different for artists.

When I’m upset… I’m able to connect on a different level. I suppose… it’s feeling the frustration, pain and doubt others feel at similar times – it’s kind of being able to relate by walking in someone else’s shoe so to speak.   But generally… when your spirit is in top form, so are you!

When things are the darkest or perhaps just a little dimmer than usual, just look to the things in your life that bring you the most joy!

  • Perhaps it is a walk, if not in a park, around the block a few times – exercise is a great stress reliever  — ONLY in the daylight of course
(Don’t tell anyone, but I usually walk to the mall, I don’t go to shop, but it’s a good walk!)
  • Listen to your favorite vocal group or artist
  • Watch one of your favorite movies or TV shows
  • Listen to a sermon from your favorite pastor
  • Review a training course which gave you pleasure while educating
  • Do something creative
I do digital art, so that’s one stress reliever for me
  • Last but not least, you can always crawl under the covers and sleep — well that helps too!

For me … Spiritual food for the soul usually helps!  This is usually a learning CD or DVD or perhaps an entire book or program!  I’m a fan of audio, so I can even take this with me if I go walking!

Look everyone gets stressed once in a while.  But once you realize what is happening… STOP… Take a deep breath and think: “What can I do to turn this around?  What can I do to make myself feel better!”  THEN… GO DO IT!
